JaMaKa is dedicated to the raising and distribution of earthworms and their by-products.  We are located in an agricultural area of the Southern California High Desert community of Lancaster.  Our access to nearly limitless growing and processing areas, coupled with a temperate climate with a long, rapid, breeding and growing season and a short, virtually frost-free, dormant season positions us strategically to meet your every need for earthworms and their by-products within the entire Pacific Rim as well as the Continental United States.

What’s a JaMaKa Wonder Worm?

We believe all worms are wonderful creatures.  However, our candidate for Wonder Worm, which we are currently growing, is the Pheretima Hawayana or now renamed Amynthas Gracilus, of the Night Crawler family.  They are also great for land reclamation and conditioning in areas where there is plenty of shade and organic matter.  They do not pull food into their burrows, making for easy surface feeding.  They may be fed a wide variety of food, such as manures, food waste, leaves, etc.

For?

For fishing bait.  It has been said, on more than one occasion, that the worst day fishing was much better than any other day doing anything else.  What can be more important than recreation with family and friends?  Wonder Worms are great bait for anything you are fishing for.  Read the articles published in the past from Western Outdoor News, Big Bear Grizzly, Daily Independent, Mammoth Lake News and Lake Isabella News.

As a source of protein.  Wonder Worms can furnish high quality, low cost protein for all kinds of pet and livestock mammals, fowl, fish, reptiles and insects.

For home gardening.  Wonder worms are a low cost, one-time, and beneficial solution to the traditionally troublesome aeration and fertilizing of home lawns and gardens.  Moisten the soil, add Wonder Worms, spread food on the surface and maintain moisture.  Your Wonder Worms will in return give you healthy, green, and productive lawn and garden areas.

For use in organic agriculture and gardening:  By adding Wonder Worms and/or vermicompost, castings to crops, you will be amazed to see the difference in quality of produce.
